- Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Wooden or metal skewers
- Garlic Lemon Butter Glaze:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
- 1 garlic clove minced
Prep the skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes to prevent burning.
Marinate the shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Toss until shrimp are evenly coated.
Make the glaze: Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Remove from heat.
Skewer the shrimp: Thread 4–5 shrimp onto each skewer, leaving a little space between each one.
Grill the shrimp: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 2–3 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Brush with glaze: As the shrimp grill, brush them with the garlic lemon butter using a basting brush for extra flavor.
Serve hot: Remove from grill and serve immediately with your favorite sides or over rice.

Metal skewers work great and don’t need soaking.
